Young Chef 2010

Hadley Learning Centre 23 February 2010

Preparation

The winner of the key stage 3 competition was Shannon Griffin of Hadley Learning Centre. Shannon prepared cooked and served a Butternut Squash and bacon risotto for two people in 45 minutes.

Sam Gatley won the Key Stage four competition with Chicken Pin Wheels with potato wedges and asparagus.


Certificates and prizes were presented by Tom Farmer, president Wellington Rotary Club and Dr Gill Eatough Principle of the HLC and President of Telford Centre Rotary Club

Rob Nicholson of the Buckatree Hotel said "Shannon was tidy, organised showing good technical skills in the preparation of her risotto", and Mrs Preen of Wellington Inner Wheel said "Sam's pinwheels had a nice spicy taste with a colourful presentation."


Both winners will go forward to Rotary District 1210 final at Stafford College on 1st March.
