The Telford area round of the popular public speaking competition
will be held on 15th February 2011 (at Newport Girls School).
The winning team are invited to speak at Wellington Rotary Club
on 18th February in preparation for the District 1210 final which
will be held during the week commencing 28th February.
YOUTH
SPEAKS 2010
Telford area round of the popular public speaking competition
took place on Wednesday 10th February 2010 at The Haywards Art
Centre, New College, Kings Street, Wellington was won by Harriet
Elana and Annie of Newport Girls' High School. Pictured with the
chair of judges Psyche Hudson the Commissioner for 'Arts and Culture'
and Telford and Wrekin Council.
At the District final on 23rd Final the girls were not ajudged
to be in the first two places, but Annie was awarded the Best
'Proposer of Vote of Thanks'.
YOUTH SPEAKS 2009
Congratulations to Thomas Telford School on winning the District
1210 final,and progressing from the Regional finals in Cardiff
on 29th March to win the National Final on 18 April.
