International Service exemplifies the global reach of Rotary in promoting peace and understanding. We support this service avenue by sponsoring or volunteering on international projects, seeking partners abroad and helping during times of need.
Apart from supporting Rotary's End Polio Campaign the The Rotary Club of Wellington's main international project is working with Medic Malawi to provide a constant and sustainable supplies of water and solar powered electricity at their Hospital, Orphanage and School at Mtunthama, Malawi.
Recently we have also made donations to Hope and Homes for Children, Disaster Aid UK and Brain Gain Uganda. The Club has also supported the fight against Ebola in West Africa with donations to Medecins Sans Frontieres and the Friends of Conakry Refugee School.
