It was with great sadness that members learned of the passing of Rotarian Alan Fisher on 15th December at the age of 68. He had been nursed in hospitals continuously since April. Firstly in Inverness then Shrewsbury and finally Salford. In each he battled valiantly against his numerous problems. Finally he was brought back to Telford to the Severn Hospice in Apley where he ended his days. Throughout all this time Kathy in particular has stayed with and encouraged him, helped by the girls Helen, Vicky and Liz.
Rotarians from our own club and from Inverness and particularly Salford also visited Alan. He had been our President ten years ago and amongst his many other interests he had been captain of the bell ringers at All Saints where a muffled peal was tolled before the Service of Thanksgiving. Our condolences and sympathy go to Kathy and to the girls and the other members of Alan’s family for their great loss.
