On Tuesday, 23rd May at The Bowring Park, Wellington a mighty struggle took place when we played Probus at Crown Green Bowls. This year, instead of heavy rain, we enjoyed brilliant sunshine. Very enjoyable too was the friendly way in which our Probus friends hosted us and whose partners very kindly provided us all with tasty refreshments.
Well, as to the game itself, to be truthful it wasn’t much of a struggle as Probus triumphed 9 games to 3, but the real winner was the Fellowship between our clubs. Ah well, Rotarians, we hope to do better in the return fixture at the end of August.’
