The Rotary Club of Wellington Young Chef winner from New College, Sophie Mansell, was presented with her prizes of Jamie Oliver and Gordon Ramsay cookbooks by President John Wardle. Sophie has just completed her 2nd year at New College and has a final year to complete her B-Tec. After winning the local heat of the competition she won the District Final held in Wolverhampton but unfortunately was not placed in the Regional Final held in Bristol.

The presentation of cookery books to 1st 2nd and 3rd and certificates to everyone who took part took place at New College on Wednesday 6th July. The students had already finished for Summer Vacation but returned to be met by President John Wardle. Imediate Past President Peter Seaward and Youth Services Chairman Peter Williams. We were invited to Bacon Baps and Hot Drinks which were eaten with relish. The tutors from New College who also attended asked many questions about Rotary. A very successful morning.
