Rotarian John Miles from the Rotary Club of Leatherhead spoke to members of the Wellington Club about the work of the Guildford Rotary Eye Project. The charity, which was formed in 1998 aims to provide one million free cataract operations in economically emerging areas of the world where poverty prevents patients from affording the treatment for this condition.
