A summer’s evening at Church Farm, Rowton was the setting for the grudge match between Wellington A and Wellington B croquet teams. Captains Rhodes & Evans gave their team talks and the match got underway. Deep discussions took place as to whether knocking a ball under the bush was unsportsman like or whether hitting the hoop was an infringement of the rules. In the end over a friendly pint the result was announced. Victory for the B team! [[Seen here on the right.]
