The Rotary Club of Wellington’s Annual Charity Film Night took place on Tuesday 29th October at the Charlton School in Wellington.
Organised by Rotarians Sophie Yates and Jim Tranter the film chosen was ‘Fisherman’s Friends’. The audience were also shown a short film about the work of Home-Start.
Sophie and Jim were successful in bringing together well over 150 Rotarians and their guests and raising more than £1,500 of which £1,000 will be presented to Home-Start Telford & Wrekin.
President Vic Young of the Rotary Club of Wellington said, “Everyone had a very enjoyable evening sharing an entertaining film while raising money for our principle charity, HomeStart Telford & Wrekin who provide a valued service for the community by supporting young families and improving their life chances.”
