Outstanding Success

Once again Mike Dorricott has produced an outstanding Sportsman’s Night.  Fergus Slattery, former Irish Rugby Union player and British and irish Lions International, kept the audience spellbound with his mixture of Rugby Union stories and Irish banter.  There followed an intriguing time with Billy Flywheel and his mixture of comedy, magic and hypnotism – laughter rang round the room.  ‘Volunteer’ President Elect John Wardle  who at one stage of the evening found it impossible to move his hands from his head said, ‘What an enjoyable evening – how did Billy Flywheel do that?”

The evening’s success meant that over £5000 was raised for charities, with the Telford Branch of the Parkinson’s Support Group being a key recipient.
