Please find below a letter of thanks from the Alzheimer’s society for the donation sent to them following the Gordon Banks meeting.
Dear Tom,
Thank you so much for your wonderful gift of £1,493.70 from the event you organised for Gordon’s talk. I’m so glad you enjoyed it and were able to raise so much for Bert’s account. Glyne also told me about your Sportsmen’s Night in March, which will add even more funds to Bert’s account and his support of Alzheimer’s Society. We are so appreciative of your continued support. Your kind gift will help to transform the lives of people with dementia, their families and carers through Alzheimer’s Society’s vital support and information services. Your support has never been more important. There are currently 835,000 people in the UK with dementia and this figure is expected to increase to over one million by 2021. This means that more people will need our help than ever before, and it is only through the generosity of our donors, such as Bert and his wonderful friends, that we will be able to respond to this growing need. If there is any other information you would like, or anything else I can do to help, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
Kind regards, Kelsea Thompson – Donor Executive Alzheimer’s Society Devon House, 58 St Katharine’s Way, London, E1W 1LB
