Tree of Light Presentation Evening

The Tree of Light 2014 Campaign reached a conclusion at the Presentation Evening that took place at Shifnal’s Park House Hotel.  The record £38,200 raised during the campaign was distributed last night to the nominated charities.  

President Wendy Waterson of the Rotary Club of Ironbridge presented a cheque for £4,775 to the Princess Royal Hospital Neo Natal Unit; President John Morris-Roberts of the Rotary Club of Telford Centre Rotary Club presented £4,775 to Telford Mind £4,775;  President Roger Mitchell of the Rotary Club of the Wrekin presented a cheque for £4475 to Wellington Cottage Care;  President Venn Davies of the Rotary Club of Wellington presented £4775 to the Georgia Williams Trust.

The final presentation of the evening was carried out by Rtn. Peter Seaward, Chairman of the Tree of Light Committee, who gave a cheque for £19,100 to Sarah Maythorne, Appeals Officer of the Servern Hospice.
