Members of Inner Wheel, Rotary and their guests were made most welcome when they joined the congregation of Wellington Methodist Church for our annual church service. The two Presidents had chosen hymns which encouraged lively singing and they each read one of the lessons. The Minister, Graham Sturdy, emphasised the importance of ‘Service Above Self’ and commented on supporting those less fortunate than ourselves in the local, national and world communities.
Most of those who attended Church went on to Tern Hill Hall Hotel, meeting up with others there. We were very pleased that the Minister, Graham Sturdy, joined us making 49 in all for lunch.
Presidents Carol and Venn welcomed everyone especially Ann Lewis and Elizabeth Owen who are both recovering from falls. It was particularly pleasing to welcome Inner Wheel District Chairman, Margaret Williams (who said grace) Rotary Assistant Governor Carol Reilly and her husband, Rotary District Secretary, Brian Reilly.
We enjoyed excellent service, tasty food and good fellowship. A most enjoyable day.
