Remembrance Day 2018

President Peter together with members of the Club, partners and friends joined the Remembrance Parade in Wellington on 11 November arriving at All Saints Church just before 11.00.  Following the Service and Act of  Remembrance President Peter joined with other local organisation to lay a wreath at the Lytch Gate, Wellington’s War Memorial.  Rotary Wellington’s ‘Silent Soldier’ overlooked the procedings adjacent to the boards showing photographs of the fallen in the First World War – these were funded by the Club in a project with the Town Council.  Family members of the fallen who had been traced during the project placed poppies in a further Act of Remembrance.
