The speakers at our meeting on 30th November were Lydia, Keira & James. They spoke about their RYLA experience and thanked the Club for the life changing opportunity that we had given them.
In May members of the Youth Services Committee interviewed the candidates for this year’s RYLA. Subsequently in August they were driven to Kibblestone Scout Camp under instructions to just drop them off and leave so that assessment could start immediately. Numerous tasks, organised by a professional group, were allocated for each team to complete with the participants taking turns in leading their team. They were then debriefed on their leadership skills and decision making.
