Wellington met a very good team from Wolverhampton in the final. John Banks had an injury to force a last minute change. Brian Richards came in and was on fire!!!!!
John Wardle came back and the ever reliable Andy, Keith and Dan did well. Cyril completed the team.
The match was very even, swinging one way then the other. With the finish in sight we were 8 ahead, with four bowls left.
We were not to be denied and ran out winners by 19 . Closest ever score for us.
A great finish to the winter sports. Snooker and tenpin Champions, again in both cases.Albeit two years apart.
