We are looking for nominations for local “Young Heroes” to encourage/recognise those youngsters who have been thinking about others instead of themselves over the past 18 months or so in respect of either the Covid pandemic or any other issue!
We would like to make awards to young persons who, at 31/12/21, will be aged between 7 &17 (inclusive). They should preferably live in the Telford & Wrekin area and have done good work either in the community or to a particular group of people needing their help, preferably in or near Wellington.
The Junior award is open to nominations youngsters aged 7 – 12 and the Senior award is for nominations of teenagers aged 13-17. Awards will consist of a Rotary printed certificate and a gift voucher.
There will, hopefully, be a free presentation lunch (to include a parent/guardian) at one of our Friday meetings as well as some publicity on Social media and possibly local newspapers.
