Lesley Martin, club correspondent sends the latest news from Inner Wheel.
There have been a diversity of events over the last few months beginning with the sad deaths of two valued members of the club – Edna Rice and Kim Wardle. However to balance this we have several new members in the process of joining the club.
One valued project which club members have helped with is the “ STAY “ Project which supports young homeless girls by making starter packs which will enable them to live independently. Another initiative which we have supported is the “Wheels“ Project when we presented a wheelbarrow which contained flowers and plants to the Severn Hospice.
In October we joined with Rotary in the church service at Eyton which was followed by a meal at the Ramada Hotel – this was a friendly event.
In December we enjoyed a visit to Coalport where we toured the pottery and enjoyed a Christmas Lunch in the Youth Hostel there.
