While he was Australia Venn Davies visited Prickle Farm, Esperance. A 3,000 acre arable and sheep farm run to raise funds for charity by The Rotary Club of Esperance Bay.
Venn also went to a meeting of the Esperance Bay Rotary Club. The photo shows Venn and their President exchanging pennants whilst wearing silly hats. They were in good company as everyone at the meeting wore a silly hat for charity.
The fee for wearing a silly hat was 10 dollars towards a charity helping locals with mental health problems. The person with the most outrageous hat won the privilege of donating a further 10 dollars.
